Are we talkin' design capacity, stunt driving, real world, or legal?
I would stick with what the data plate says. Your tires, springs, underwear
and license to drive will all last longer. It's a 5-ton, essentially,
de-rated to 2.5 tons for off-road (combat) use. 5 tons = 10,000# = 1200
gals - tare weight of tank. Remember, it has Flintstone brakes, too.
For less than one mile at 5 - 10 MPH, I'd go for it.
Maybe it would be more prudent to tow a trailer, and use a smaller tank on
the truck and trailer.
