Some time ago, I installed a crankcase breather filter on my deuce (see MVM,
August 2003) and today, having nothing better to do, drained it for the
first time (it has a sump that collects oil from the breather fumes).
The amount of oil, after 1000 miles, was 80 ml, which is just under 1/10
quart.
If you drive a lot, now you know where some of the oil goes...
