Thanks to All the Dixie Division for hosting the 29th
MVPA Convention in Mobile, AL!! A Job well done!!!!
With special thanks to the Dixie Crew:
Rodney Nowland for being a Great co-Chairman and
stepping up for all that was needed. (obtaining
Auctioneer, extra parking, TV Crew etc.etc.etc.)
BRUCE SHARP! for the Vehicle inspection and
pre-judging and Auction!!!!
(Bruce also was VERY GREAT with the kitchen crew/chef
during the food shortage at the Friday Night BBQ)
King Palmer for the TV, Newspaper, Fire Marshall and
best of all the US Coast Guard Demo out in the Mobile
River!!!
Jerry Murphy for his Fire Marshal experience(this
could have shut us down!!) THANKS!!
Steve Stevenson, Russell Parker, Ronnie Guin & Terry
for their tireless effort/muscle at this and all shows
I see them attending.
Jewell Rowland for doing all the Tours and folowing
through on all the little details!!!!
Bruce Willey for doing all that was asked and more!
Lamar Rowland, Keith Daniels, Mike Hipwell & Sonny
Heath for the Vendor move in and great
communacations!!!!!
James Ward for the forklift help.
Kevin and Debbie Doriety for Ticket taking at the
Friday BBQ and general all round help!!
Felicia Smith, Grace Crawford and also Georgia Smith
for the Table center peices and camo Teddy Bears at
the Saturday Banquet!!!
A special thanks to Rich Miller at Riv-rad for bring
extra Vehicles at the last minute to display and also
getting the State Defence Force involved for general
policing, ticket takers, and Parking lot security.
Chuck Watford for manning the Dixie Club Table almost
the whole time!!!!!! Wow!!!!
The most thanks goes to our Chapter President Tom
Campbell for letting us soar like Eagles instead of
flying like Turkeys. Tom's words as I remember when he
was organizing this New MVPA Chapter were "There is
only 1 rule for this MVPA Chapter to remember: there
are no rules."
Thanks Tom for letting me make this dream of getting a
MVPA Convention "Down South" a reality and for backing
it up with the GREAT CREW that Soared Like Eagles
instead of flying like Turkeys!!!!!
