The army has standardized on JP2 as a fuel iirc.
They've ditched or tried to ditch all mo-gas
powered items.
But the Abrams can run on gas, diesel, Kerosine,
JP and a number of other fuels. Turbines can run
on a wide range of fuels even powdered coal given
the right fuel system. Most liquid systems are
pretty flexible with a turbine.
