Hi
The brake locking devices are still made by Mico ( Mico-lock TM) and
used in a lot of wreckers for locking all the brakes for winching and
recovery ops. Some are manually operated, some are remote operated, and
made for single or dual hydraulic circuit installs.

I vaguely remember reading about brakelocks (like Meeco(?) on wreckers)
and
how they were used to disable the front wheel brakes during slippery
conditions. This goes way back to the 1930's before anti brakelock
systems
were invented.
Anybody have any knowledge about this?
