One other use of the intank fuel pump. It provides fuel under pressure to
the cold weather intake heater. No electric fuel pump operation? No intake
heater operation. There are actually two transfer pumps on a Deuce
Multi-Fuel engine, one is in the fuel tank and the other is in the fuel
pump attached to the engine. 99% of all civilian heavy truck engines (not
pickups) use mechanical transfer pumps to get the fuel to the injection pump.
