In downtown Atlanta there is a company that does chemical paint and rust stripping. Their fee (a few years ago) was $1.05 per pound. It is well worth it for all the LITTLE stuff. For sheet metal it seems to be about the same as if you had spent the money on chemical strippers and stuff. I just went and bought a decent sandblasting setup since I was doing so much stripping. I still drop off all my headlight buckets, screws, bolts, etc with them.
I have a business card from them at home (currently at work). Send me an email and I'll dig it up.

Subject: [MV] Dipping of sheet metal parts?

Hello from Atlanta Ga. I am having my M151A2 gas tank cleaned out and
lined, and the radiator shop here that is doing the work mentioned that they
acid dip the tank and radiators, and will do metal body panels at a "nominal
charge". Does this sound like a good thing to do to flash rusted M151A2
body parts before priming and painting? Thanks!
