Dean on advice. Number one reason why the thm-400 3 speed transmission
fails is 99% excessive heat related. If you have 6.2-6.5 Diesel powered
M-1009/M1028 ETC. install the largest separate transmission cooler that you
can install. Do not run the tranny cooling line through the factory cooler
built into the radiator. It could be plugged or restrict fluid flow and
still allow your tranny to overheat.
         If you gents running CUCV's haven't replaced your radiators you
should seriously consider doing so. Makes a massive difference is how cool
the engine runs. Remember heat is the ENEMY!!!
