Not sure that is a good test because corners and how far you drive will
affect the
marks.

A better test to to get the vehicle on a paved flat surface and see it you
can
roll it by hand. Any "binding" will make it almost impossible to move it
by hand.

I am a stickler about matching the tires my deuce rides on in the rear. It
is
probably the most important maintence item other than oil as far as I am
concerned for a long life.

A couple years ago I was on a trip with my club. I was leading the group
with
my CCKW. As we got onto a smooth paved road and up to about 40 mph,
I commented to my wife that either there was something seriously wrong with
the truck OR we had a flat on one of the outside tires (the matched set that
it
rides on) was flat. I could hear the binding and additional noise it was
making.
I had a flat

Steve AKA Dr Deuce (I have put 50k+ miles on my cargo CCKW)
