Interesting result from Walmart ! To test batteries ,
first they must be fully charged , then stood for 24 Hrs before being tested
on a discharge tester , good but partly discharged batteries will show as
duds ! To test state of charge , the SG must be tested and this may also
give clues as to failed cells Etc
A rough guide to battery state can be had by reading voltage whilst cranking
the engine , EG should read steady 9-10 V for 20-30 seconds . Do not try for
longer !
