I had a leaking gas tank on a lawn mower. Cracked in the seam. A friend
suggested that I take a soldering iron and weld (melt) it back together.
Worked like a champ. No leaks in a couple of years. I have an old
soldering gun, trigger activated with a flat tip. Gets really hot, so be
careful.
