A friend came across a small (like maybe 500watt) 110v gasoline generator marked "US Army Signal Corp GN-51." After the GN-51 there's an empty box on the tag for another number to be handstamped, but there's nothing there. There are 2 110v outlets and what looks to be 2 terminals for attaching wires. It's a one-cylinder engine, with a sealed ignition. It has a rope pull start that you have to wrap up each time. Serial number is in the 800's. Any info on what it was used for, age, rarity, etc, would be appreciated. Tried google, but couldn't find anything on it.
Thanks,
Vince
