George Palagonia contacted me today to tell me that he had some XENON
searchlight kits for sale.
Here's what he had to say...............
"Hello Ken,
I have 3 XENON SEARCHLIGHTS SET, INFRARED AN/VSS-3A FAN 5855-177-3529 or
5855-405-0404.
The AN/VSS-3A is a lightweight (75lbs), Xenon searchlight providing a high
intensity variable beam width, visible or infrared light. These searchlights
were meant to be mount on the outside of armored vehicles and
aerial assault units. Each Xenon light puts out 50-150 million candlepower
(depends on the beam spread).
Warning do not operate the searchlight within 320 meters of personal.
Personal may suffer temporary flash blindness at ranges in excess of 200
meters
2 of the Searchlights are brand new still in their shipping crate and in
their water proof wrapping.
The other one I opened the main wrapping to get photos of the searchlight
housing. Everything else is still wrapped tight.
I have plenty of photos of the housing, manual and other parts that come
