WW2 Dodge Combat Rims - SOLVED

Well guys, after a week of letting prying & letting the rims soak in PB
Blaster (rust eater), I've gotten the rims apart & the tires off.

It turns out most of my prying was useless, once I figured out the
trick. I was following the manual's description & illustrations on how to
remove the combat rim ring. They show that you use two curved tire
mount/dismount spoons to remove the ring. I ended up using three. Drive
two of the spoons between the rim & bead of the tire...about 8-10 inches
apart with their curve turned UP. THEN, take a third tire mount/dismount
spoon and drive it in with the blade facing DOWN instead of up like on the
other two spoons. You step on the outer two spoons with your feet, while
you pry up on the middle spoon. This pushes the tire bead away from the
rim. Work your way around the tire as you push the bead away from the rim
edge. On all my rims, the rim would separate as I carried out this process.

BTW, out of the 5 tires on my WC-52, only one had it's bead lock still
installed. It was fairly rusted, so I'm just going to leave it out when I
reassemble the tires.

Thanks for everyone's advice on this one.

Thanks,
Brian Mead
