Well, the 4.56 in an standard 1 to 1 trnasmission such as the TH400 will end
up with a final drive ration of ....4.56. If you factor in a 70% overdrive
which is close to the 700R4 (if memory serves correct) you will end up with a
final drive ratio closer to 3.11 if my math is close. Either way you look at it
the OD will help in overall final drive ratio. I would rather add the extra
gear in the trans then switch to highway gears and sacrifice my crawl ratio.
