This may be a little obvious, but when I was a kid my Grandfather took a car
generator (alternator) and run it with a AC motor, belt drive. He used this
as a home made battery charger. Back in the 70's you had to take what you
had laying around and make do. A cheap skate like myself might try just a
devise today. An old deuce generator and a 1 horse AC motor? Of course you
can convert all kinds of stuff with motors and belts. The term we use for
that here in the deep south is now politically Incorrect.
