If you're not concerned with regulation, such as in
battery-charging, any DC welder will do what you need.
Well, I shouldn't say "any"....the chinese-trinket 100-amp
units probably can't sustain 50 amps at 100% duty-cycle.
But any 225amp Miller or Lincoln should be able to do so.
If you need steadier voltage, a CV (wire-feed) power-source
would be more appropriate.
Just idea...if you don't need a fully regulated supply.
