Excuse me for a moment while I talk about a Military Vehicle :-)
We have a 5 ton wrecker, minus the wrecker body, we are thinking of parting
out. It has lots of rust on the rear ends and no brakes. The folks at
Clemson University put a fertilizer spreader on the back and dot 3 in the
brakes.
I am wondering if any of folks could give me an idea if there is a market
for a take out Mack engine and other drive line parts. The trucks runs.
I'm not sure I would say it runs well, we have not driven it much. And with
no brake, we have driven it very slowly. The truck has part of a winch. It
is missing the drive shaft for the winch. It has the pto for the winch and
the winch itself as well as the pto that powered the rear pump.
Again we are just batting around the idea of parting it out. I just really
don't want to tackle those brakes.
Oh year, it has a great hard top. It looks like this truck somehow managed
to avoid the tap dancing that appears to have taken place on all the other
hard tops I have seen at DRMO's. It is actually strait. For the longest
time I though they came from the factory with the big dimple in the top :-()
For the record, I think some people could stand to read the rules of the
list again. I have almost rubbed the letters from my "delete" key. It's
the "rapid fire" use of it that is so hard on it. The barrel get too hot.
