M151A2 windshield gasket R&R

My cracked and dried out '72 M151A2 windshield glass to frame rubber gasket
needs removal and replacement. I have located an NOS gasket. Is this a
do-it-yourself job that will have good results? Any tips as to the proper
R&R techniques? Thank you list!
