One more thing, and I'm out of here.
The exhaust brake and any other engine brake acts on the driveline (like the
parking brake and "pinion" brakes) and MUST NOT BE USED ON SLIPPERY ROAD
SURFACES. This is important since the braking action takes place via the
differentials. If one side loses traction the wheel may spin in the opposite
direction for a moment and when it again regains traction the driver could
very well lose control of the vehicle.
