Ok, took the deuce for a drive up and down some hills and with the exhaust
brake activated there was a definite slowing down effect. The back pressure
was about 15-20 psi for one particular downhill run at 2,000 rpm.
It makes an intense hissing sound, nothing like the "jake" brake.
The only problem was the opening of the butterfly valve, which took too
long, maybe 20 seconds or so. This is probably why it was junked, a bad
return spring. Well, it works and I can always add another spring
externally.
