Well, when you get right down to it...if a diesel runs 60 mph @ 3000
rpm...what would a gas engine do at 6000 rpm with the same gearing? Nuff
said! I remember an old navy chief (machinist) telling about racing
jeeps over in the south pacific during the second world war...they
reground the cam and milled the head and smoked everybody. Fred Martin
