Hell, our boys would be better driving around the sandbox in a bunch of
old M113 tracks, but half of them are growing coral off the coast of
Florida. The other half are sitting idle stateside in armories, waiting
for a calling. I think they'd be much better suited against light
anti-vehicle mines than the Humvees are. Mind you, the -113s are NOT
suited to dealing with anti-tank mines, but hey, a little more armor is
better than none. The up-armored Humvee was designed to help stop
bullets from AKs and RPG-7 rockets from the top or sides, not mine
blasts from underneath.
