Sometimes I like to be proven wrong and this is no exception. (I hate being
right all of the time!) I was thinking the same thing when I saw this item
for sale. This is also a first time for this type of item to have come out
of GL or whatever they call themselves today. I have seen much worse units
available with barely a frame and some civilian at the DRMO or GL is afraid
which is all of the time.
Still this doesn't change the way things are in the mil system are done
and we'll have to see what else comes out if it ever happens again. If they
find they made a mistake, they can still withdraw the item or come back and
get it. When I was at KC, Mo. for the annual MVPA meet a few years ago some
guy was selling BLANK 97'S!!! I showed Gene Pantano this and both of our
jaws hit the floor. They were actually sold as surplus "legitimately" but
were ultimately seized and taken back. I try to never say no but things do
happen. Julian Burke
