Weldling supply stores also rent tanks. Ask to look at the rental
tanks. You will be surprised what you find in their rental fleet. I
have only seen the oxygen tanks marked with US Army or Air Force. It is
usually in raised cast on the neck. I also have one somewhere that
states "Ballon Service". I have never seen an actylene tank marked. I
still wouldn't consider this "special". Someone might think special
meant different size, connections, configuration, etc.
Also, check you local Junior College ot University. When I was at
Fresno State. All the tanks we had were ex-military.

I suppose that depends upon your definition of special. The correct
tanks for the military wreckers are stamped, embossed into the steel,
"U.S. Army." It will be very difficult to locate tanks marked in this
manner at a welding supply store.
The vise on a M543 is mounted on the front bumper.
