The hard start might be the pressure switch. It only acts up sometimes.

Hi Caleb,
I have an M1008 and I have been hearing this noise at idle that
sounds like something
clanking around, almost like a bad bearing. I don't think it is any of
the belt driven stuff,
so I am beginning to suspect the timing chain too. Supposedly the truck
only had 15k on it when
I got it, and it shows about 34k now. By in large it runs pretty good,
but this noise is driving me crazy.
