Hello,
As the self appointed Data Plate mogul, my observation on this is
nothing more than different manufacturers. Early trucks tended to be all
black, etched aluminum. Then the red showed up and then yellow. I have 5
ton Mack Shifting plates in both yellow and red only difference is the
date of Mfg and manufacturer. I have seen some beautiful all etched
plates on some late model AM general trucks (original factory plates)
that were black and yellow and they used the yellow everywhere they
could.
PS.
M35A2 Sets are back in stock with new preheater plates that are NICE!
(not shown on the web site) Also the winch sets are now complete. The
floor mounted plate that goes next to the lever was the last plate we
needed. Just call or email Rod Shaver at 480-893-2201 or

Subject: [MV] Question for the M35 Purists
This picture is from a M35A2C. Any reason for different color shift
plates
or is just up to whoever made them? I've seen yellow, black and now red.
Any
other colors out there. And does anyone know the purpose for the chain
and
clip on the low air tag?? TIA Wayne
