Rick
I have a 16" Southbend lathe myself. A great machine
to have. I hauled mine with my deuce last spring. A
fairly light lathe compared to other 16" lathes. Mine
has a 5' bed and weighs about 2200lbs. That should be
light enough for most anyone to haul somehow. If you
do haul it yourself, make sure its tied down good.
They are extremely top heavy. When I was leveling
mine I had the front jacked up about 1" and it felt
like it could tip over backwards very easily.
Good luck
Marc
