CCKW generator not working....any quick fix tricks ?

Just brought in a nice CCKW LWB Closed Cab. Everything works..except the
generator. I determined this by not seeing any charging on the gauge ( it's
working) and by taking the ground wire off the battery for a second and
listening to the truck start dying.

Any quick, easy fixes that someone can suggest ?? I have let it run at high
idle and tapped around on the generator body ( that has always worked in the
past on other vehicles), but nothing yet.

Maybe the voltage regulator ?? How can I eliminate anything between the two
?

Any advice appreciated!
