Oh, PLEASE! The "normally accepted terminology" for the device you refer
to as a "DYNAMO" is "GENERATOR" in American and Canadian parlance. You
will not find any "dynamos" discussed in service manuals or listed in
parts catalogs for American/Canadian vehicles. Use of the term "dynamo"
is a veddy, veddy British thing. Nonesense, indeed.
