Dave
I don't recall where but someone was selling a
complete gasket set for around $110. This set of
course had the old head gaskets which you wouldn't use
but it was cheaper to buy the older set and the new
head gaskets seperately. Memphis I believe sells a
head set with everything you need to replace head
gaskets but it won't give you all the other goodies
and is probably more expensive.
A machinist at Hercules told me the specs for flatness
and I was surprised how lax they were. I have them
written down somewhere. However, the issue with my
heads was the rings worn into the head at each
cylinder location. The cost to resurface them
shouldn't be that much anyway. Let me know if you
decide to do the job and I'll dig through the library
for valve and torque specs.
Good luck,
Marc
