For Sale:
1972 AM General M151A2 1/4 Ton 4X4 Utility Truck without ROPS
M416 1/4 Ton Cargo Trailer

This vehicle and trailer combination was purchased in Italy by the
current owner in 1978. He is the only civilian owner, and imported this
vehicle with trailer in 1994 when he moved to the US. He was president
of the international MVCC (currently called the MVPA) in the late 1980s.
He has sold his large collection of military vehicles in Italy, and is
now selling his jeep and trailer as he does not have time to drive and
enjoy it any more.

This vehicle has been 1/2 cut, but it is a very good reweld, the best I
have seen. It is very strong, not visible from the top, and you have to
look very close on the bottom (welds are excellent). It has a little
rust around the tops of the rear fender openings and the windshield
rubber. The underbody channels that usually rust out are perfect on this
A2, but unfortunately rubber floor mats have held water on top of the
floor boards. They have some rust, and a few small holes, but are still
very repairable. (See pictures) It has 49,000 miles, most of which were
driven by the current owner.

This 151 and 416 are very original and include several accessories and
modifications made in Italy at the unit level while still in service.

The M151A2 is equipped with the following accessories/modifications:

M-Series CO2 Fire Extinguisher
Decontamination Bottle
Hot Water Heater
Deep Water Fording Kit
Functioning RT-524 and R-442 with Antennas
Rifle Mount Kit on Drivers Side
Side Marker Lights
Pioneer Tools
Gas Can
Winter Grill Cover
Tow Rope and Chain on Front Bumper
Fog Lights on Front Bumper
Backup Lights
Wire Cutter
Vinyl Top with Matching Side Curtains and Doors
Tool Bag with Jack, Manual, Etc.
Battery Disconnect From Armored Vehicle
Uniquely Mounted Rear Differential using Rubber Bushings (Very well
done)

The M416 is painted to match the A2 (European camouflage pattern), and
is complete with canvas top. It has two gas cans mounted on the rear
body panel along with one on the front. It has an interesting metal
frame to support the center of the top and allow water to run off.

All of these modifications/accessories were done/installed while still
in service with the U.S. Army using U.S. G.I. parts. It is in excellent
mechanical condition, just needs to be driven regularly. It had new
batteries installed about 18 months ago and it also comes with four
extra wheels without tires. Priced at $12,000 or best offer. Located in
Roswell, GA (North of Atlanta). E-mail me at jsinvent@charter.net or
call 770-992-5118 for more information.
Thanks,
Joe
