There are only a few wires on your alternators. There is a isolated ground,
B+ (HOT) wire and only two more (plug in molex connector) for the alternator
light on the dash. Nothing hard here.

All diesel engines have a vacuum pump. Yours is on the top rear (where a
distributer would go) and its' purpose is to operate the modulator on the
automatic tranny. Julian
