The 1960s movie "The Russians Are Coming!! The Russians are Coming!!"
was filmed in California but the story took place off of Massachusetts.
In order to avoid the problem Ryan noted they filmed the morning shots
(film time) in the late afternoon (real time). This way the setting
sun in the West over water looked like the rising over the water in the
East. Vice versa for the story's late afternoon shots.
MV content... Brian Keith's character was driving around in some sort
of Jeep. Sorry, that's the best I can do :-)
