A TD Pinz was brought into the country this last year... The paperwork and
requirements required by the Feds basically meant that the truck was going
to rust to death on a ranch in Texas. It could only be exported, or
scrapped, never registered for the road.
If I remember correctly, there are 15 companies in the US that are "licenced
" to federalize import vehicles. Less than 25 years old must meet DOT and
EPA standards .... and after that, it still has to meet the state's
requirements.
