M756A2 She's Home

Well, I have an ear to ear grin going on. After several months of
anticipation, my oilfield truck is finally at rest in my own yard. It's quite a sight to
see and before it was off the roll back, 3 neighbors were there to sigh and
walk away. She ain't pretty and she sure ain't complete but she is an original
USN Seabees M756A2 and best of all, it has all the sheaves and trunions
necessary for operation. Who cares if the cab is shot, who cares if the powerpack is
missing, who cares if the front drive axle is missing and who cares if the
front winch is gone. This is all common stuff. All the "right" stuff for the
pipeline bed is there. This project will take years but man will it be worth it.
Also in the deal I picked up a Fassi knuckle boom crane. So it looks like I'll
be getting another yard deuce to put the crane on for use in the restoration
of the pipeline truck. I'm psyched, I can't wait to get started and win the
lottery so I can finish.
