WWII ambulance's

  I have recently seen a WWII Dodge ambulance in a driveway. One of our
club members has a WC54 & its not one of those. I suspected it was a
WC9, but another person told me perhaps it was a WC27 (?). Now I am
really confused. Can anyone quickly tell me what different types of WWII
ambulance there wre & how I can distinguish one from the other.
