Swap the 2 relays and see if there is any difference. That's the easy way
to find out.

Sorry everybody, let me be a little more specific. The alternator
relays located under the dash next to the starter relay above the ICE
connector. I also have to check the diode in the charging system to be
sure, but if the relay is bad will the gen light work?
