Great pictures Dave Thanks for sharing! Do you know what that is by the
right side turn signal on the M35? For some background on the 278th Armored
Cav here is a website
http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/agency/army/278acr.htm
I didn't find a reference to the 82nd or to Vietnam though and best I
remember they didn't use the three color camo back then but still it looks
great. Thanks, Wayne

>>Hello to the Group,
>>I was at the National Studebaker Museum in South Bend, Indiana yesterday
>>and saw a nice display of several military vehicles there. Since the
>>Hummer is manufactured in South Bend, the Studebaker facility has both a
>>cilvian H2 and Hummer's HMMWV prototype on display. They also have a Viet
>>Nam vet M35 as well as an earlier Studebaker 6x6 there. Since the
>>earliest serial numbered Humvees now start at #16 (the first 15 Hummers
>>had been destroyed by the military divisions they were assigned to), it
>>was nice to see the prototype to this military bit of history that we see
>>almost every day on our televisions.
>>Please pardon the two photos that have my mug on them.
