Need info on M108 deuce crane: engine speed governor

There is a speed control governor on the M108 deuce crane truck (light
wrecker?) that is supposed to govern the engine rpm at 1400 while the
crane is in operation, as I recall. I am looking for info on how it
works, where the parts are, and how to troubleshoot it. It uses a REO
331 gas engine. Thanks. Jim
