THANKS for replies. One suggested Honda batteries and I found Les Schwab
in Portland Or has a 4 3/4 deep x 9 wide and 8 7/8 high # 51-60 w/ 500
cold cranking amps built by Johnson Controls (Canby, Or) on sale this month
at $50 each (normal price $60). Whereas the 2HN quoted locally was about
$130 each, after old guy discount.The 2HN is 5 1/4 deep 10 wide and 8 7/8 high.
Wonder if anyone has had success rigging such batteries with existing
cables. Thanks, Richard.
