Both front and rear signals stop working? After they stop working, do you
have power coming out of the switch to the flasher? Out of the flasher?
Flasher could be shorting, and resets itself after sitting?

Subject: [MV] M151A2 electrical problem
I have a 1972 M151A2. Brand new wiring harness on the front half.
What is wrong is that the turn signal will start out working OK. But after
running 15 or so minutes of driving the jeep, when I try to use it it does
not work. I have checked the plugs at the switch and the control module as
well as the light switch. Found them loose after the install, hand
tightened and failed to cinch them down. Corrected that and the problem
still persists. Checked the ground on the switch to the steering column and
it is good. Even checked the bulb in the turn signal switch to see if it
was loose or something.
If I turn the vehicle off for a little while, then when I start it again,
the problem starts all over again.
I have wiggled and shook the harness, looking for a break or short. Tested
vehicle ground. Even put a jumper on the ground to the signal switch so I
would not have to depend on the column as the ground, nothing changes.
Really stumped.
