Not to mention that Hobart was the one that
refined armor tactics from the plodding WWI form
to the form that Guderian used for the German
Blitzkrieg. Guderian religiously read the
writings of Hobard in the Interwar years when
Hobart was developing Armor tactics while the
senior leadership of the British Army was trying
to relegate him to non-essential status.
Eventually, Hobart was turned out early in WWII
and for a time served as a Corporal in the Home
Guard!
