Good point Wilf with civilian trucks. The deuce, however, has all 6 axle ends
lubricated by wheel bearing grease. Has inner and outer wheel seals and even
a cork membrane for the keyway. All this is to keep the gear oil out. Pull the
driveshafts if you want but experience has proven it's not necessary. I've
gotten about 3000 miles like this without ever a hint of a problem.
