I have used Dot 3 brake fluid to remove paint on plastic parts, I would
test on the back side first.

Subject: [MV] Paint Removal on Plastic
Greetings List,
I picked up a replacement steering wheel for my Mutt last weekend, but
it has been completely painted over. I'd like to return it to it's
original black color, but don't want to damage the plastic surface.
Am I out of luck, or is there a way to do this?
Thanks much!
