I have also just taken on a static restoration of a UH-1H at the Augusta
Museum in Kansas, just this last week. I contacted the tech pubs department
at Bell via their web site and they have agreed to provide me with a set of
manuals on cd, free of charge.

I to am looking for parts, but the big thing is all the seating for the back
(troop, gunner and crew chief), the tail rotor hub with shaft and the
counter weights and bar that they mount to for the rotor. The big thing for
me to fix is that the main rotor has been assembled wrong and has to be
removed so the mast can be pulled and indexed so it will drop in all the way
in the transmission. Right now it is sitting on top of the splines, just
laying there. Regrettably, our Slick was obtained through the Army and has
no hope of ever flying again as that is against the loan agreement.
It has been decided to set the guns up on bungee, ala free style, until such
time as the proper mounts can be found. Not sure how available the entire
hard mounts might be or at what cost.
Here is an excellent web site for photos, first hand accounts and other
info....

Just the tip of the info available on the web. Photo resources are like
gold and any time someone tells you of a link, check it out!
