Hi
Sorry Julian but I am afraid that is totally false. The AC-60G is the very
best glow plug available for any of the GM 6.2 and 6.5 diesels that use the
12 volt plugs. They are completely temp compensating and non swelling. As
a matter of fact you can leave them powered up on 12 volts for hours on end,
and they will not burn out or swell. This has been proven in the testing.
If you wish to check the 6.2 diesel info sites you can see the test data. I
have used them in 3 CUCV's with no problems for years now using the original
timer setup. You CAN NOT use them in a CUCV that has has the ballast
resistor bypassed as many have been, or in a Humvee as you state. You would
need the 24 volt glow plugs for those cases, but in a stock CUCV they are
tops and the are OEM GM.
Regards
Glenn

CAUTION!!!!! Do not use 60G glow plugs in CUCV's or Humvees!! They will
burn out in less than two days in a CUCV and almost immediately in a Humvee
and will be heck to get out. They are not what you want in these
applications. Julian Burke
