The Western Command Chapter of the MVPA is sponsoring the biggest MilVeh
event since the 1980's up here in British Columbia. The title is "Freedom
Route +60".
Details can be found on the Chapter website; but the basic premise is:
Display at Abbotsford International Airshow on Friday August 12th and
Saturday August 13th, to include a rollpast; Depart in convoy Sunday August
14th for the first overnight stop and display in Ashcroft.
Monday 15th August convoy to Kamloops, overnight and dispaly.
Tuesday August 16th; convoy to Vernon for a joint event with the Vernon Army
Cadet camp and a display in Polson Park.
Wednesday, August 17th. Convoy to Kelowna for display.
Thursday, August 18th, Convoy to Penticton.
Friday, August 19th, Convoy to Keremeos.
Saturday, August 20th, Convoy to Princeton.
Sunday, August 21st-return to Vancouver over the Hope-Princeton Highway.
We have 50 vehicles confirmed with participants already registered from
Europe, the US and most of Canada.
All vehicles are welcome. We will arrange accommodation for anyone who
wishes to participate and will either find them a "ride" or provide a
vehicle for them to drive.
Many people who are unable to participate for the entire week are going to
join the convoy at one of the various overnight stops.
