Did you read about the Test that a Centurion tank
was subjected to at one of the joint Nuke tests
in the south pacific? The Centurion was left
running at the test site. 10 minutes before the
test, the tank ran out of gas. After the test the
tank was towed away from the test area and
examined. It wasn't terribly hot after the test
and after a bit of minor repair to outside parts
(sheetmetal, etc) it was placed back in service
no worse for wear.
