I ve an RV Toter I built from a Freightliner Condo and when I registered it
as an RV I put vinyl signs on the sides that read: Recreational Vehicle.
Have had very little trouble with the DOT since that. Before that they were
screwing with me all the time at weigh stations, wheres your medical card?,
wheres your CDL?, wheres your IFTA? and on and on. Now I pay $46.00 for a
tag and about $500.00 a year for full coverage insurance with towing
coverage included. Before when it was a tractor I paid about $5000.00 a
year for a tag and liability only.
RV is the answer and it takes VERY little to qualify in most states that I
have checked on.
Sonny
